The ending was perfect although I would have loved an epilogue of the families! However, he has completely redeemed himself and I was deeply interested in how he has remade himself but still has to deal with his past.

The rake from the first book, St John, finds himself back in London after fighting in Portugal, and the unlikely saviour of miss Esme. He has a reputation and is totally unwilling to ruin her.

John wasn’t merill dream lead- I get that he’s trying to be good, and that’s admirable, but their whole relationship is just weird and messed up.
